Large 19th Century Irish Mahogany Dining Table
A superb quality large scale 19th Century Irish mahogany circular table. Tilt top with original gilt brass mechanism to underside. The table is of superb quality construction and timbre - stamped makers mark to the inside of the supporting legs “ JONES & CO. DUBLIN” for the renowned makers firm Arthur Jones & of 135 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin. They were a highly regarded firm and famed for several pieces exhibited at the 1851 Great Exhibition of finely carved rare Irish bog oak furniture. The table retains the original paper storage depository label. Leg clearance H: 67.5cm / 26.5".
