Large 19th Century Olive Oil Storage Jar

c.1850 A mid 19th Century Spanish earthenware hand built Estate olive oil storage jar. This is a hand built and clamp fired Spanish (Catalonian) olive oil storage pot, most likely produced on the estate from which it came. It would originally have had a wooden lid and tap. Firing cracks would have been repaired with either lime or metal staples and are not later repairs.
